Divorce

Kristen helps couples discuss all issues concerning children, finances, and property, and helps them work out a settlement that best serves their needs. You never have to go to court, which generally saves you time and money. You have two options to choose from: Collaborative Law, which allows you each to have attorney representation as well as financial and mental health professionals to help you resolve your issues; and Mediation, which allows you to work together to make decisions around what works best for you and your family. Both result in the drafting of an agreement and all divorce paperwork that is filed in the court and finalized without you stepping foot in court.

Separation

A couple can use both Mediation or Collaborative Law to work out a settlement that best serves their needs.

MATRIMONIAL LAW/COLLABORATIVE LAW

Collaborative Law is a great option for couples who would like to have attorney advocacy, but also remain out of court and save time, money, and minimize the hostility that is so often a part of divorce. Each party chooses a Collaborative Attorney, as well as a Financial Neutral, Child Specialist, and Divorce Coach as needed to build a team that guides and supports you through the process of reaching a settlement that best serves your family.

PRE/POSTNUPTIAL AGREEMENT

Kristen is able to mediate a Prenuptial Agreement (prior to marriage) or Postnuptial Agreement (after marriage), as well as represent one party to the Agreement. The couple engages in meaningful discussion around what is important to them and what works best for them, which results in a productive and durable Agreement.

Mediation

Collaborative Law is a great option for couples who would like to have attorney advocacy, but also remain out of court and save time, money, and minimize the hostility that is so often a part of divorce. Each party chooses a Collaborative Attorney, as well as a Financial Neutral, Child Specialist, and Divorce Coach as needed to build a team that guides and supports you through the process of reaching a settlement that best serves your family.

Family Law/CHildren

Parenting plans and decisions around children can be mediated, whether you are married or not. For most couples that are co-parenting children, staying out of court remains the best and least expensive option.
